Days 4&5

Here is the update from our last few days.  We've gone all over Ethiopia and seen some amazing things.  The evidence that God is working is so clear that it gives me chills.  Check them out.

This young man is a street kid in Addis Abbaba in Ethiopia.  He's been in jail multiple times, addicted to drugs, been in multiple fights and lived without hope for a long time.  He told us his story about all that he's gone throught and how today he's an excellent student and beginning to turn his life around because of his relationship with Christ.  When he committed his life to Christ he gave himself this tattoo.

Love the symbolism

If there is a definition of "worship" it was here; with these young men.

Here area few pics from Covenant Children's Homes in Shone.  We met/played with 25 kids who are sponsored.  They killed us in a very competitive game of "duck, duck, goose."  Here we witnessed first hand what a different sponsorship makes.  These children were receiving an education, food, clothing, shoes, and most importantly medical attention.

This little guy was outside the Covenant Children's Home and shows the contrast between those who are sponsored and those that are not.

Uganda - Day 2

So the majority of today's time was spent at Royal Hope Academy School.  The first few photos show the welcome we received.  It was AWESOME.  Over 400 kids singing songs and playing instruments to welcome us in.  This place was such an encouragement for us to see.  They are making a difference in kids lives.  They receiving an education, food, clothing, and are taught about having a relationship with Christ.  We witnessed so many positive things there that it's blown our minds.  We have a really packed schedule tomorrow morning before we fly out for Ethiopia, so look for some updates in a couple of days.

Uganda - Day 1

After 36 hours of travel, 3 planes, and 4 take-offs and landings...we finally made it to Entebbe, Uganda.  I should have more detailed posts once we arrive in Ethiopia; the internet signal here is NOT good.  Here are a few shots from the first day.
This first one is for our son Koen, who loves airplanes!
